For those with previous driving experience I offer a number of short driving courses of driving tuition in Weston super Mare tailored to meet varying requirements.

Pass Plus in Weston super Mare

Pass Plus in Weston super Mare are DSA sponsored driving courses for those who have recently passed their driving test. It consists of six modules: Town and city driving, rural driving, dual carriageways, motorways, driving in adverse road conditions and night driving. I am a driving instructor in North Somerset who is registered with the DSA to provide the Pass Plus driving courses in Weston super Mare. These driving courses are a minimum of 6 hours long and are required to provide a minimum of 5 1/2 hours in car driving. In keeping with the Accelerated Driver Tuition System, unlike most other Pass Plus providers, I loan you reference materials prior to the short course and guide you towards private study to be done before starting the course. This enables us to concentrate on developing your practical skills in the short time available and so enhances your learning experience. The Pass Plus in Weston super Mare is based on continuous assessment rather than a test at the end and this assessment is done by myself rather than a DSA examiner. Somerset County Councils offer substantial payments towards the fees of the Pass Plus please speak to me and I may be able to guide you towards obtaining one of these payments. To the best of my knowledge I am the only Weston based instructor approved by Somerset CC and provide the only Pass Plus course eligible for these payments.

Course cost £150

I need a deposit of £100 when booking the course this includes a refundable deposit of £30 for the learning materials and the balance of £80 at the start of the course the deposit is fully refundable when the learning materials are returned in good condition and can be deducted from the final balance if returned then.

Motorway Driving Course

For those who want to gain Motorway experience but do not want to do the Pass plus course I offer a specific course on motorway driving. This is a 4 hour course covering entering and leaving motorways, lane changing and overtaking, motorway intersections, route planning and the use of sat nav, breakdown procedures and includes a short session on motorway night driving.

Course cost £100

A shortened Motorway course which does not include route planning, sat nav or night driving is available for £60 and is 2 hours duration

Eco Driving Course

Save up to 15% off your fuel bills by using modern driving techniques. Course consists of a short assessment of your current driving technique, a short demonstration of Eco driving techniques followed by an opportunity to develop Eco driving skills. The course is 3 hours duration.

Refresher Driving Courses

If your returning to driving for whatever reason, maybe a ban or not having had to drive for a lengthy period, or you need to brush up on your skills perhaps you need to drive on motorways not having used them for some time or need to brush up on your reversing or parking skills. It may be a confidence issue and to help with this there is an off road site available where you can regain and practice your vehicle control and road skills before venturing into traffic situations. It may be that the other short driving courses or traditional driving lessons in Weston super Mare may not be ideal for you. I offer an assessment driving lesson and then work with you to build a short driving courses to help you develop your skills. As all these driving courses are tailor made it is impossible to give a quote other than to say it will be based on my standard lesson price less a discount for buying as a course.
