How I can save you money with the Accelerated Driver Tuition System
The system saves you time your paying for in the car by you gaining the knowledge component at home with the manual and video briefs and demonstrations leaving you the time in the car to transfer that knowledge into the practical skill you need to drive. It's only common sense to use practical lesson time in the car for practice and experience not for gaining the basic knowledge.
By recording your progress each session with you, you will always know when you have mastered a component skill and can move on to the next one. This way you will not spend time on any unnecessary practice and therefore progress at your fastest rate. Not only will we record your progress in writen form but you will get a USB with your lesson videoed on it for you to review at home to enhance your learning still further.
Unlike many schools I don't wait for the learner to start asking 'when will I be ready for test' before we start discussing it nor do I wait for them to be ready for their test before booking it. As soon as they have passed their theory test and I've had 5-6 hours to judge their aptitude and learning rate I make an estimate of how many more lessons they need to reach test standard, this again is in conjunction with them using their progress sheets. Based on this and their availability the practical test is booked. Why does this save you money? Because most learners wait too long to ask about their test and most driving schools wait until their learner is test ready before booking the test, however since there can be up to an eight week wait for test dates the driving school then gets an extra eight weeks driving lessons from them that they don't really need, money for doing nothing. Personally I think this is ripping off your learners and/or their parents if they are funding the lessons and I won't do it. I usually allow for my learners to be test ready a couple of lessons before the test date for final practice and ironing out any glitches to be ready for their test, it is the final stage of confidence building so they go into the test positively.
Should the candidate fail the test, nationally less than 1 in 4 pass first time (though my personal first time pass rate is much higher than this), most schools will continue with weekly lessons until their next test, again up to eight weeks away. Why? To earn them extra money! If the learner was test ready they will have scored less than 15 driver errors, they will have failed by getting a serious or dangerous fault, usually for a silly mistake rather than a bad habit. If they are test ready do they really need all those lessons before the next one, wouldn't it be better to do as I do identify the specific problem and book a more appropriate number of lessons before the next test to reacclimatise to the car and sort out what is often a minor problem. If they scored more than 15 driver errors the instructor was wrong in putting them in for the test as they weren't ready. That's why I can offer this guarantee to my pupils, if I say you are ready for test and you don't pass because you got more than 15 minors and didn't get any serious or dangerous faults I will pay for your next driving test, because I was wrong and you weren't ready.
Finally the main way I save you money. Over 85% of my pupils are passing their test in 36 hours or less using this training system, a large proportion of these are passing at 30 hours. The Driving Standards Agency say the average person takes 52 hours professional tuition plus 24 hours private practice before taking their test. While my average is below this, taking 36 hours with me using this system costs from £630(depending on how you pay), using traditional teaching methods and the DSA average of 52 hours professional tuition, to work out cheaper another driving school would have to be charging you less than £12.11 an hour to beat my price. If they're not, you could be paying too much, as I've said elewhere cheap lessons can cost you more in the long run. This system of tuition is ONLY available through me.
Can you afford NOT to be learning with me?
If you choose to purchase block bookings they will be delivered in two hour sessions, you can choose whether you take up to three sessions a day or up to ten sessions a week or only one session a week it's entirely up to you depending on your availability and my diary. The aim is to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs.
Free home visits to explain the system and demonstrate the teaching aids used are available, I can also provide a short assessment drive for learners with previous driving experience.
Prices for driving lessons in North Somerset 2012
Having tried various pricing structures to try to give pupils the best deals possible with limited success I have now opted for a system of just offering the lowest reasonable price for quality instruction with variations depending on the location of the start and finish with a premium for those in highest demand evening and Saturday lessons. At these prices there will be no discounts for block bookings or any other reason. It is the lowest normal rate I can offer given the increasing overheads of the driving school business so is not negotiable.
First identify which Postcode area you want your lessons to start and finish. Then identify when you are available to take lessons, this will then give you the cost of those lessons. Lesson times are usually 8:00, 11:00, 2:00 or 5:00 though in some circumstances this can be varied by 1/2 hour each way through mutual agreement.
